Why Plant Here?
Spain and Portugal stand out as two of the most biodiverse countries in Europe and the world, boasting unique geographical features contributing to their exceptional status. These regions are home to a diverse array of wildlife, including iconic species such as the brown bear, the Iberian lynx, and various noteworthy bird species. However, there are several problems to face, and they endanger these unique fauna and flora, such as soil degradation, recurrent forest fires, land abandonment, and droughts.
For this reason, since 2018, we have been restoring nature in the Iberian Peninsula with an innovative, nature-focused, and high-quality approach. By creating resilient ecosystems and healthy forests, using innovative techniques of native tree planting and species mixing, we boost the ecosystem benefits of the area and regenerate the soil.
This effort is not only a response to biodiversity loss, but also a vision to help the rural communities. We support local people through skilled employment, environmental education activities or generating ecosystem benefits for them.
